Trying to budget for medical equipment for an upcoming surgery

I have a major orthopedic surgery scheduled for next month, and the recovery is supposed to take at least eight weeks. My insurance is giving me the runaround regarding equipment coverage, so I might have to pay for everything out of pocket. I am trying to build a recovery budget and I really need to know what the typical costs look like for a month or two of use. Does anyone have experience with the pricing for home medical furniture? I want to avoid being overcharged while still getting a bed that is actually safe and comfortable.

Budgeting for surgery is always stressful, but the equipment part is usually more manageable than the medical bills. When you look into how much to rent a hospital bed you will find that the rates are often much more affordable than a daily hospital stay. Most places offer a flat monthly fee that includes the frame and the mattress, which makes the accounting much simpler. It is definitely worth comparing a few different providers to see who offers the best value for your specific recovery timeline. Why not request a quote online to get a better idea of the local rates?
